The ancient Romans noticed that the hottest days of the year coincided with the appearance of Sirius-the Dog Star (the brightest star in the sky)
Hence giving birth to the term -dog days I.e Very hot days.
I saw my Dog Star sitting perched upon a roof on a particularly hot day.
And the sun will set for you.. And the shadow of the day will embrace the world in grey..
Pausing just long enough to stop and watch the morning as it dawns upon this majestic mountain!
Para-Gliders coming down from the peaks surrounding the Shandur Polo field in a display arranged for the pre-match celebrations to the final.

The beauty and grandeur of being at the highest Polo ground in the world, watching a match that annually celebrates the history of their region through a sport that is both beautiful and brutal!
With no rules except one- getting the ball to the goal- this was quite an experience to witness!
Basking in the sunlight, after a looooong 12 hour journey up to Shandur.

Its a beautiful day
Don’t let it get away!
I could wake up to this everyday!
I can feel the morning creeping upon us, its like the worlds in my hands right now.
The Kalashi Graveyard (open graves of their ancestors)
Ain’t no river wide enough..
The river that flows past the Kalash Valley, also the best place to wash your hair after a very long and dusty journey up to the Valley.
Cold fresh water running past at dangerous speeds, often taking unsuspecting victims who get too close. Fortunately the only thing we lost to that river was an unfortunate pair of sunglasses.
Ain’t no Valley low..
Ain’t no mountain high..
